Sea Sprite was established in 2022 by Lee-Anne Dougherty, an entrepreneur with a deep passion for coastal aesthetics and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional products and service to customers.

In 2019, the course of Lee-Anne's life took an unexpected turn. With a background rooted in the hospitality industry, she found herself embracing a new role as full-time caregiver for aging parents. This profound shift would shape the next chapter of her journey.

Lee-Anne, a creative soul, needed an outlet for her artistic spirit and handmade jewelry became her refuge. Self-taught and determined, this craft allowed her to care for her parents while pursuing her passion. In July 2020, she began sharing her handcrafted jewelry with the world through Etsy. Knowing people across the globe enjoyed her creations filled her with joy.

Yet life's tides are ever changing. With the passing of her parents Lee-Anne felt lost, like a piece of driftwood on the boundless sea, uncertain of her next course. She could return to hospitality where she thrived on meeting new faces and sharing daily interactions, but there was a deep longing to continue expressing herself creatively through her jewelry.

Lee-Anne's sister, a constant source of support and inspiration, offered a beacon of guidance and suggested Lee-Anne open her own boutique. In this haven for jewelry and gifts, she could showcase her own creations and curate a collection of intriguing, trendy, and unique items that resonate with her spirit.

In April 2022, sailing on the winds of change, Sea Sprite was born. As Captain of her own ship, Lee-Anne draws upon her past experiences and customer service skills while combining her passion for all things artistic and her personal drive. South Florida, both cherished locals and adventurous tourists, now have access to a treasure trove of sea and beach-inspired jewelry, gifts, and decor.
